builder-kit is a plugin for Claude Code.
It runs the AI prototyping workflow for you.
You build a prototype without developers.
Reading is optional. From here on every step is one block. Run them in order and you land in the same place.
The eight steps
Every one is a single line, /builder-kit: followed by a name. Anything after the name goes in with it.
Where: both surfaces. Claude Code in a terminal, or the Desktop app.
/builder-kit:statusWhere: both surfaces.
/builder-kit:cheatsheetThe first says where you are. The second prints the whole map. Neither answers until the kit is on.
Start here. You are on it.
Set up. One command, and the machine is ready.
Start your project. A folder, and the kit knows what is in it.
Shape it. What you are building, written down, agreed by you.
Decide and plan. How it gets built, and in what order.
Build and ship your first slice. A live URL, in front of people.
Run the plan. Everything after the first slice, off the plan you set.
Keep going. Change it, watch it, keep it alive.
Three series exist, one per kind of build. Yours is for things people open in a browser. At the end your site sits on a domain you own, anyone with the link can use it, and search engines can find it.
Any word you have not met is in words that come up.
Four things you decide
The kit stops and asks on each. It never guesses.
Whether the idea is worth building at all.
Which way it gets built, once you see what each one costs later.
How it looks and sounds, judged on the site in your browser.
Whether your site is ready for other people.
Everything else is the kit's job.
What it costs
Two bills, and they are not the same bill.
AI-assisted prototyping costs tokens while you work, on your own paid Claude plan.
The second bill starts when your site goes up. Hosting, a database, a domain of your own. Small numbers at first, and they only move once people turn up and stay.
What is the most you want this to cost each month?
Name it now, while it costs nothing to be honest.
Nothing at all. Free tiers only, and enough to prove the idea.
A small fixed amount. Enough to run properly without watching it.
More than that. Fine, and still name the figure you would hate to pass.
You get asked for it again before anything of yours goes online.
Everything up to a shipped first slice is free once you sign up.
The last two steps are member-only.
Next: set the machine up. One command does nearly all of it.
